Created on behalf of Holly K. Burke, Shred Out Cancer's mission is to be a resource in the fight against cancer. Our mission, is to be F.R.E.E:
Fight stagnant research,
Restore healthy lives,
Empower patients and families, and
Educate younger generations to cure cancer.

This foundation's goal is twofold:

First, provide resources for progressive research in the cure for cancer.

Second, to provide disease-affected families with resources and support so their families’ can live with little distraction and detriment as possible.

Our organization is funded through three sources: Donations from private citizens who identify with our cause; a marketing an apparel line of proprietary clothing designs focused on a sporty attitude; and licensing and marketing copyrighted logos. Each logo worn furthers the organization's visibility, and increases the support to cure cancer.

The ending goal is to be F.R.E.E, free to live our lives without the existence of cancer.

As one of three brothers to Holly Burke, this nonprofit was created on-behalf, and in request of, my beautiful sister.

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I spent two years at Western Michigan University and transferred as a junior to Palm Beach Atlantic University to join a Christian community and pursue my nursing degree. I will graduate in May with my BSN and, because of Holly and my experience at the Target House, I hope to, one day, work in pediatric oncology.

Paul Franke

NJ Board Member & Art Director
In 2009 the Kostecki brothers;(Joe an Chris) asked me if I would like to be a part of a nonprofit organization which would raise money and support to help their sister Holly Burke, who contracted clear cell sarcoma cancer.  We made it a goal to help her and help other young children and teens who had been stricken with cancer.  My role as Art Director of Shred Out Cancer is to use my education and experience in Graphic and Industrial Design to help market, promote, and brand the organization.  I am always interested in feedback and new ideas on how Shred Out Cancer can grow and help more kids and families each and ever day.  Whether it is standing at a booth at a surfing event or designing a Tshirt that someone will wear with pride; I feel privileged to be a part of something bigger than myself and to be able to help so many people.

Currently I am a Physical Therapy Tech at Viewmont Physical Therapy in Scranton, PA.  I am pursuing graduate school with the intent to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy in which I will help the lives of injured, disabled, and post operative patients.
